Né à Fès et nourri par son esprit, le jeune artiste peintre Abderrahim El Hassani fait son entrée dans l’univers de la couleur dès son jeune âge. Sa passion pour les arts plastiques s’affirme très tôt, ses premiers dessins datent de 1985. En 2005, il débute une formation à l’Atelier Palette D’or, qui dura quatre ans. Cette formation initiatique a été d’un grand profit pour le jeune peintre. Il découvre le dessin, les croquis, les techniques d’Aquarelles et les peintures à l’huile.

Artistic project Pizza bicycle; A home- made Pizza Oven on a bike. Out of every drawer came an invention; a Bar out-folded, a stove appear, fresh ingredients and in no-time they could serve pizza’s to more than 50 people.
In 2010 she was manager of an innovative Surf Village F.A.S.T. at Scheveningen. The village was totally built out of shipping containers. She took care over this project, looking after the service of the visitors, coordinating work done by employees and volunteers.
2012 She worked for an event organisation. Responsible for decoration of the ‘Bazar Festival’ 15000 people The Hague.

Courtney Erwin
is a specialist in international and comparative law, with expertise in international human rights, humanitarian, and criminal law and Islamic law. She has lived in the Middle East North Africa region for six years and has worked and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Courtney has over a decade of experience working internationally with religious, political, legal, and civil society actors, in addition to UN agencies, multi-lateral organizations, and foreign governments.
In 2014, Courtney moved to Morocco and began working as Senior Program Specialist at the Mohamedian League of Religious Scholars (al Rabita al Mohammadiyya lil ‘Ulama’), which provides intellectual leadership on religious matters through a network of sixteen research centers in Morocco. In this role, she assists the Secretary General in research on countering violent extremism. She has also provided strategic guidance for the establishment of its new Center for Research and Training in Interfaith Relations.
Prior to moving to Morocco, Courtney spent four years as the Legal Program Manager at Education Above All, a Qatar-based foundation dedicated to the promotion and protection of education in situations of crisis and conflict. While in that position, she led research, capacity building, and advocacy programs aimed at using international human rights, humanitarian, and criminal law to better protect students, teachers, schools, and universities in conflict areas.
During her time at EAA, Courtney conducted research as a Visiting Professional at the International Criminal Court, convened and briefed members of United Nations human rights bodies, and organized regional meetings with government, civil society, and academic stakeholders.
She also worked with the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack in a lead capacity on an initiative to develop international Guidelines for Protecting Schools and Universities from Military Use during Armed Conflict, which call for armed parties to avoid using educational buildings or making them targets of attack, and which has been endorsed by over fifty states ( see ).
Courtney received her B.S. in Foreign Service and a certificate in Muslim–Christian Understanding from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service; her M.A. in Islamic Studies from McGill University’s Institute of Islamic Studies; and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice.

I was born in Ukraine and grew up in Morocco. When I was 18, I moved to Canada where I studied photography at the Ottawa School of Art and cinema at the University of Montréal. I also hold a degree in software engineering and a master's degree in political science from the University of Ottawa.
In 2012, I was hired by an advertising agency in Montreal, as the head of the video and photo department. Three years later, I left to settle in Morocco and devote myself exclusively to photography.
Since I've been back to Morocco, my photographic research aims to document the small details of everyday life, which can inform on the general situation of Morocco. My work combines both a keen sense of aesthetics and an interest in sociopolitical questions.
My photos have been published in several magazines such as The Washington Post, Off The Wall, Jeune Afrique, Afrique Magazine, Dyptique and Telquel.
Michael Grieve
is a British photographer, writer, and educator currently based in Berlin. After completing a BA and MA at University of Westminster he became a reportage and portrait photographer for publications worldwide and represented by Agence VU. For five years he was the deputy editor of 1000 Words contemporary photography magazine and is a regular writer and photographer for the British Journal of Photography. He was a senior lecturer of photography at Nottingham Trent University, a lecturer at Akademia Fotografii in Warsaw and a lectuer at Berliner Technische Kunstschule. teaching documentary, portrait and the history of photography. He is the founder and director of Berlin Foto Kiez. In 2017 The Foriegner (sic), the first photobook of a trilogy, will be published.

had his first exhibition in 1964 with abstract oil paintings and worked as stage designer and literary editor. After his studies in economics and modern history he presented an advanced thesis with Theodor w. Adorno and was appointed professor of philosophy at several universities until a chair was created for him:“Philosophy of the Forms of Life“. Throughout this period of academic teaching and scientific publications he created a film on Maurice Bejar's work, made collages together with famous artists, curated scientific exhibitions, shown first by Jean Louis Barault, then travelling through Europe and India. Since 2002 he concentrates mainly on his artistic work as a gestural painter, discovering that some of his most outstanding friends in the contemporary art world had become his masters: René Laubiès and Jean Degottex. His own work in gestural painting was first shown in a huge open air installation 2008 in Sarajevo and changed, ever since his first exhibition at Werkstattgalerie Berlin, in tracks of ink on paper, in material, seize, and measure. Different work groups are exhibited since 2010 in Siena, Hamburg, Poznan Biennial, Paris, Berlin, Vilnius, Bologna and Fez.

studied at the art-academy in Hamburg, she met Andy Warhol 1976 in Düsseldorf and started to work in his „Factory“ in New York . In 1982 she had her exhibition at PS1 and worked together with Alana Heiss. 1984 she moved back to Hamburg where she is still living and working. 2004 the Russian State Museum St. Petersburg have shown a Retrospective followed by a show at the Falkenberg Collection in Hamburg. During her collaboration with Werkstattgalerie Berlin her works where shown in Paris, Vilnius, Klaipeda, she took part together with Pascual Jordan at the St. Petersburg Biennial and recently in Bologna at the Art-Week projekt “Macrocosmi-Patterns of an other Order”. In April 2015 her artworks where shown in Fes /Maroc. At the same time she was co-exhibiting with the Chinese artist Shan Fan in Beijing at the Today Art Museum.

Mohamed Thara
est né en 1972 à Fès au Maroc, il vit et travaille entre Paris et Bordeaux. Artiste pluridisciplinaire, il est titulaire d’un diplôme national supérieur de l’Ecole des Beaux-arts de Bordeaux (DNSEP) et d’un Master en Arts Plastiques à l'Université de Bordeaux Montaigne, il a étudié la photographie à l'Ecole de l'Institut National de l'Audiovisuel de Paris (Ina sup), il a également enseigné les arts plastiques et l’histoire de l’art au collège. Il prépare actuellement sa thèse de doctorat en études cinématographiques et audiovisuelles à l'Ecole Doctorale Montaigne Humanité. Peintre, photographe, vidéaste et performeur aux talents multiples, il cherche à étendre les limites de la peinture avec une œuvre picturale très personnelle qui interroge l'ambiguïté de la représentation. Ses performances questionnent le « vivre ensemble » et confèrent à l’image la fonction d’analyser le monde dans lequel nous vivons. À travers ses vidéos entre tension et équilibre, il fait naître et mourir, il interroge l'imminence de la mort pour comprendre la fragilité de la vie. Son œuvre photographique contient une promesse d’écriture rituelle, une pensée pertinemment décochée au monde, un projet global et critique de la société par l’image en mouvement qui soulève de nombreuses questions : l’histoire, la mémoire, le mal, l’identité, la douleur, le chaos… Il trace de nouvelles frontières, et c'est là tout le sens de son approche artistique et critique. Une oeuvre en forme de confession, chez lui tout est partout toujours en mouvement, rien s’y prête à la fixation, à l’identification encore moins à l’idéologie. Ses oeuvres ont été acquises par plusieurs collectionneurs privés au Maroc et en France.

graduated in medicine and law. He curates music, theatre and visual arts projects related to the Middle-East and North-Africa, in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, the Gulf states, Pakistan, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. international artist residence' Martin Holz ,born in Germany, 1986, living and working in Leipzig, is a visual artist and author. He merges and combines artistic and literacy techniques to do a transdisciplinary spectrum with a special focus on performance art strategies, groupdynamic and intermediality. As initiator of the interdisciplinary symposium "conquering places" , Germany 2014, he worked as a project manager. In 2014 he started working at the project 'PILOTENKUECHE / international artist residence' as a scholar and later, in 2015, he run the project together with Ines Lucines. Basing on this activity he supports artists around the world giving one scholarship to its residents in a period of four months. Martin Holz realized diverse exhibitions, projects and publications. In these activities he iscontinuously working together with other artists, authors and scientists.
Ramia Beladel
Ramia Beladel (°1987, Marrakech, Morocco) is an artist who works in a variety of media. With a conceptual approach, Beladel tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi- layered way, likes to involve the viewer in a way that is sometimes physical and believes in the idea of function following form in a work.
Her art works directly respond to the surrounding environment and uses everyday experiences from the artist as a starting point. Often these experiences are framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context. By applying abstraction, she creates intense personal moments linked by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal.
Her works never show the complete structure, the results in the fact that the artist can easily imagine an own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. By examining the ambiguity and origination via retakes and variations, she tries to increase the dynamic between audience and author by objectifying emotions and investigating the duality that develops through different interpretations.
Her works doesn’t reference recognizable form. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted.
Roderick Grierson
is the Director of the Rumi Institute at Near East University in Nicosia. In 2014, he delivered the Robertson-Hastie Lectures at the University of Glasgow. His translation of the Risâletü’n-Nushiyye, a mesnevi composed in the fourteenth century by the Turkish mystic Yunus Emre, will be published next year by I. B. Tauris. He is a regulator contributor to the Mawlana Rumi Review and he has just finished editing its sixth volume. An exhibition catalogue of engravings, lithographs, and photographs of Mevlevi dervishes from the sixteenth to the twenty-first century will be delivered to the publisher in 2018.

Finn Brüggemann (*1988) lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. After his BA studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Amsterdam University College he studied at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg with Marjetica Potrč. Since 2011 he realized several community-building projects, amongst others in Serbia, Hamburg, Southafrica and the USA. In 2015 he co-founded Das Archipel, a swimming platform, a community organized public space and a schoolroom for social and political action. He graduated with a Master of fine arts in 2016. He works on the threshold of politics, community and art. His work aims to create forms of collective organization in reaction to local and global crises.
Nuriye Elisabeth Tohermes (*1989) lives and works in Hamburg. She studied fine Arts and social design at HFBK Hamburg. Since 2012 she conceptualizes and realizes participatory and side specific works for example a community organized public space in Soweto, Southafrica; Silent Lunch Discussions in New York, USA for the New Museum or a Conference on collaboration in Tromsø, Norway in cooperation with UniGrowCity. She is one of the co-founders of Das Archipel, a laboratory for self organization in Hamburg.

Dr. James Miller is the Executive Director of the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational & Cultural Exchange (MACECE), where he has held responsibilities for the Fulbright Exchange Program since September, 2009.
Miller is a cultural geographer and professor emeritus in the Department of History & Geography at Clemson University in South Carolina, USA.
Miller (M.A., Ph.D., University of Texas) is the author of several works in geography and on Morocco, most notably Imlil (Westview Press), a study of a modernization and change in the High Atlas, and the world regional geography college text, A Question of Place (with Paul Ward English, Wiley Press).
While on leave from Clemson, Miller was the Director of the American Overseas Research Center in Tunisia from 2003-2006. Miller was co-director of the Sijilmasa Project, which excavated the site of the ancient caravan center, Sijilmasa in the Moroccan Sahara, and is co-author of The Last Civilized Place: Sijilmasa and Its Saharan Destiny (2015).
Miller is a native of New York State and lives in Rabat.
